Job Title: Senior Research Coordinator

The position of Senior Research Coordinator is open for application. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations and ensuring the deliverables of a research lab.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Draft clear and accurate meeting minutes with minimal guidance">
  • Interpret the needs and requirements of funding agencies, especially in preparation and submission of financial and grant phasing reports">
  • Lead end-to-end coordination of multi-disciplinary research programs within the lab, ensure aligning technical milestones with the strategic roadmap of initiatives">
  • Oversee Technical Quality Assurance and project progress reporting by monitoring multiple research projects, review the technical progress, identify potential risks, and facilitate corrective actions to ensure outcome is successful and meet expectations">
  • Strengthen lab's safety awareness by arranging training courses from time to time to ensure lab users are aware of safety protocols and familiarise all lab safety protocols">
  • Design, develop and maintain website, ensuring website content is updated and aligned with program objectives">
  • Act as overall in-charge of Safety within the lab and part of CERT Team - Participate focal group for School of EEE electrical safety (High Current testing, Logout-Tag out SOP, review other electrical safety SOP etc)">
  • Understand/review grant requirements and submit claims to funding agencies">

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have a PhD/ MEng/ BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Additionally, the candidate should have 3 years of relevant experience in managing research lab of related area, experience in preparing related reporting for funding agencies, proficient in MS Excel and basic programming languages, good understanding on drafting equipment specifications for tender submissions, and good understanding to financial systems like SAP, ARIBA and Concur system.
