Business Development Professional - Southeast Asia">

As a Business Development Professional, you will spearhead growth across Southeast Asia for an expanding financial services firm. Your strategic hire is aimed at building partnerships and driving new business within the Trust, Insurance, and Family Governance space.

You will thrive in a client-facing environment with experience in institutional sales and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset. You are responsible for developing relationships with key intermediaries including private banks, law firms, multi-family offices, and advisory partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow trust, insurance, and family office solutions across Southeast Asia.
  • Meet defined revenue and client acquisition targets in line with regional expansion goals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with intermediaries such as external asset managers, legal and tax advisors, family offices, and immigration consultants.
  • Present and promote comprehensive solutions tailored to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, product, and operations to support business acquisition and client onboarding.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, client briefings, and marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
  • Stay informed on market developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activity relevant to the region.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a degree with 5+ years of experience in institutional sales, business development, or relationship management preferably within private banking, insurance, or trust services. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required to effectively build relationships and navigate client conversations.

A confident communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills, a commercial mindset, and the initiative to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment is necessary. Experience working with HNW or UHNW clients and their advisors will be highly regarded.
