We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team in special education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, delivering and evaluating individualized educational services, learning programmes and instructions for students with special needs.
This role requires the ability to implement and monitor effective teaching and learning pedagogies, intervention strategies for students with SEN, as well as design and implement valid and reliable modes of assessment to evaluate students' progress and development.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with students with mid intellectual disabilities (MID) and possess specific subject knowledge, knowledge in special needs education and behaviour modification.
In addition, the candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, classroom management skills, take initiative, and have effective communication skills in both verbal and written English.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising students, managing pupil behaviors, documenting concerns, conducting parent-teacher conferences, and providing information to parents for home-school communications.
Furthermore, this role involves making home visits for students with high support needs, crafting intervention strategies to meet student social and emotional needs, establishing work plan priorities to meet school strategic thrusts, and participating in staff meetings, co-curricular activities, educational conferences, and school programs.
