Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day environmental issues on construction sites. You will critically review and summarize regulatory and client requirements for environmental compliance, coordinate and advise project teams on environmental requirements, monitor and review environmental issues and support Project Managers, prepare and submit site environmental control programs and reports, conduct regular inspections to ensure Environmental Management Systems (EMS) are in place, liaise with relevant authorities, facilitate internal auditing to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, and perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling day-to-day environmental issues on construction sites;
  • Critically reviewing and summarizing regulatory and client requirements for environmental compliance;
  • Coordinating and advising project teams on environmental requirements;
  • Monitoring and reviewing environmental issues and supporting Project Managers;
  • Preparing and submitting site environmental control programs and reports;
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure Environmental Management Systems (EMS) are in place;
  • Liaising with relevant authorities;
  • Facilitating internal auditing to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards;
  • Performing other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering or a relevant field;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, environmental, or related fields;
  • Registration as an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with the National Environment Agency (NEA);
  • Registration as an Earth Control Measure Officer (ECMO) with PUB;
  • Experience with GGBS Green and Gracious Builders scheme audit;
  • High level of initiative and strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Valid licenses from NEA and PUB.
