Department Overview
The Audit division operates as an independent internal audit team, dedicated to providing impartial assurance and consultancy aimed at enhancing the Group's operational efficiency. Our mission is to support the Group in realizing its strategic goals through a systematic and disciplined evaluation of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments on auditable entities within Group Retail & Operations, adhering to established Group Audit standards.
- Identify and analyze emerging risks and industry trends to evaluate their potential impact on auditable entities and the overall audit strategy.
- Plan, execute, and oversee end-to-end audits for Retail Banking operations, ensuring thorough documentation and timely completion.
- Assess the materiality of identified issues, analyze root causes, and evaluate the effectiveness of controls to determine the potential consequences of control failures, along with necessary corrective actions. Prepare succinct reports detailing audit findings and recommendations.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit procedures and ongoing audits.
Candidate Requirements
- A recognized degree or equivalent professional qualifications, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant audit experience and the ability to accommodate reasonable travel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, complemented by excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic and diverse work environment.
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams, demonstrating a positive attitude towards change.
- Solid understanding of audit and risk assessment methodologies and principles.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, Access, VBA, SQL, ACL, SAS, Qlik View, Tableau, etc., is advantageous.
- A customer-oriented mindset, resourcefulness, and a results-driven approach.
- Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong writing and presentation skills.
