We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to lead the implementation of automated systems for ship repair applications. The successful candidate will design, integrate and maintain efficient, safe and accurate solutions in shipyard operations.

  • Design and Program Automated Systems: Design and program automated solutions for shipyard tasks, integrating robotics, PLCs and other technologies.
  • Integrate with Existing Infrastructure: Integrate automation with existing shipyard infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Maintain and Troubleshoot Machinery: Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot automated machinery, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical training and support to operators, enhancing their skills and productivity.
  • Analyse System Performance: Analyze system performance and implement process improvements, driving efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Automation, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience in industrial robotics (ABB, KUKA, FANUC) and PLC programming.
  • Communication Protocols: Knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET).
  • Familiarity with Marine Repair Processes: Familiarity with marine repair processes (welding, painting, NDT).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in physically demanding shipyard conditions.
