Senior Design Engineer

As a senior design engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge solutions to meet customer requirements. Your expertise in design specifications and project management will drive the success of our machine building projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a profound understanding of design specifications based on customer needs, organizational objectives, and business strategies
  • Conceptualize and develop innovative solutions using simulations/modelling to support design concepts used
  • Carry out detailed cycle time studies for individual modules to select appropriate machine or module designs
  • Develop 3D models of machines and/or modules assigned with optimized designs for manufacturing, cost, quality, and safety
  • Initiate and conduct internal design reviews to share and explain completed modules with other departments
  • Revise designs and documents based on both internal and external reviews
  • Support machine assembly teams as needed, with setup and fine-tuning of machines

You will be responsible for meeting quality standards while maintaining working knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices, and upholding company policies, internal, customer standards for machine building and safety.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned design engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative machine building solutions. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in design engineering, with a focus on machine building
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
