Senior Gas Vessel Operator Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Gas Vessel Operator to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of gas vessel operations and commercial shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth vessel operations.
  • Monitor daily vessel movements and ensure compliance with charter-party terms.
  • Manage voyage planning, execution, and post-fixture tasks, including claims and demurrage.
  • Handle billing for charter hire, bunkers, and other related services.
  • Track vessel movements and maintain accurate trading/cargo data.
  • Coordinate appointment of port agents and disbursement account approvals.
  • Ensure timely submission of notices, LOIs, and standard documentation.
  • Liaise with insurance and security for risk areas and armed guard deployment.
  • Supervise junior operations staff and support training efforts.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in gas vessel operations or commercial shipping.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial shipping industry, specifically gas carriers.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and operational processes.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), and experience with vessel management software is advantageous.
