Stroke Support Station Community Outreach & Engagement

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting community outreach and basic needs assessments to seniors in our designated service boundary within Boon Lay. Your primary objective will be to provide regular befriending services to vulnerable seniors, monitoring their wellbeing and connecting them to relevant care services when necessary.

  • Contribute to volunteer role design, recruitment, training, deployment, engagement, and appreciation.
Programme Planning & Management

You will play a key role in planning and managing wellness programmes for stroke survivors and active ageing programmes for seniors. This includes managing administrative tasks and logistics associated with programme implementation, as well as collaborating with community partners to organize activities such as roadshows, talks, wellness workshops, and excursions.

Administration

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining database and generating reports for submission. Your ability to work independently as well as in a team will be crucial in achieving our organisational goals.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Gerontology, Community Health, Sports & Exercise Science preferred or relevant job and volunteering experience.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent project management and events co-ordination skills.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
