Electrical Systems Project Lead

The role of an Electrical Systems Project Lead is pivotal in the success of electrical engineering projects.

  • Manage electrical engineering projects, encompassing medium and low-voltage power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, grounding, and building automation.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and resource allocations, ensuring timely delivery of design milestones.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, fire protection, and instrumentation engineers to achieve project objectives.
  • Evaluate and ensure designs conform to local regulations, international standards, and client specifications.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, calculations, and technical submittals to maintain project quality.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure project expectations are met.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks to minimize disruptions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers during project execution.

Requirements & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in electrical design for similar industries.
  • Proven track record of managing medium to large-scale electrical projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., NEC, IEC, local regulations).
  • Experience with electrical design software and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills to drive project success.
