Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our operations are in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance risk strategies, policies, and frameworks at local and group levels.
  • Monitor and assess compliance with Singaporean laws, regulations, and policies, as well as those of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
  • Provide input to the Head of Legal & Compliance and management team on ongoing licensing requirements and best practices.
  • Implement and process compliance controls and risk management activities.
  • Manage regulatory reporting and oversee compliance reviews and investigations.
  • Review marketing materials prior to publication and verify documentation completeness prior to client onboarding.
  • Perform investigative work on suspicious transactions and prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) as necessary.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in a compliance role in a financial institution, digital assets company, or regulated industry with a mix of regulatory compliance and AML/CFT compliance.
  • Regulatory exposure to the MAS or commensurate overseas regulator.
  • Relevant experience as a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) or Deputy MLRO is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Payment Services Act, particularly PSN01 and PSN02, and related regulatory requirements issued by the MAS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Legal, or other relevant discipline.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications, such as CAMS, ICA, or CCAS, are a plus.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Hands-on approach and inquisitive mind.
