We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Air Transportation Specialist Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting daily maintenance checks on automated and manual material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and Delta III transport vehicles. They will also use this equipment for cargo loading and unloading operations, following strict safety and security protocols at all times.

Additionally, the Air Transportation Specialist Apprentice will be responsible for ensuring proper handling and loading of hazardous cargo, according to military and/or commercial transportation regulations. This includes transporting cargo to and from airfields and storage areas, loading and unloading cargo and passenger aircraft, and checking arriving cargo against manifest.

Other key responsibilities include receiving, identifying and distributing cargo to end users, conducting quality assurance checks throughout the cargo movement and pallet building process, and maintaining and performing required preventative maintenance and inventory of tie-down equipment.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, both indoors and outdoors, and will be expected to adapt to changing situations and priorities. You will also be required to maintain a safe workplace and ensure that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as 0-6 months of warehouse or cargo/freight operations experience.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, climbing, and other physical activities.
