Our aim is to help children and youths reintegrate back into their family and society through an array of holistic programmes and activities specially designed to cater to the well-being of each individual person. A team of professionally trained social workers work towards building holistic and individualized care plans that are tailored to meet each person's needs.

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist your immediate Night Manager to oversee, support and ensure the apt delivery of high-quality care and service to meet the diverse needs of the children and youth (residents) under your purview. Your responsibilities will include:

Operational Management and Service Quality
  • Embracing our stated mission and working in partnership with management to enhance the quality of care for residents.
  • Working with residents in accordance with our vision and mission and regulatory framework, maintaining professional and purposeful relationships with colleagues and residents.
  • Assisting the Night Manager to plan, lead and monitor the daily operations of the Block to meet service standards.
Educational Support and School Matters
  • Liaising with school on residents' attendance matters as well as travel arrangements.
  • Maintaining and monitoring appropriate resource materials as required by residents.
  • Ensuring every resident has pocket money or a means to have their meals when in school as well as the means to travel to and from school.
Partnership and Community Networking
  • Establishing close working partnerships both internally and externally to maximise our support systems.
Service Development
  • Advocating and representing the rights, needs and welfare of clients through various official platforms.
Professional Development
  • Promoting professional development through identifying learning needs, transfer of skills and knowledge and offering training where appropriate.
Administration
  • Managing staff-to-staff and staff-to-client relationships and mediating any issues that may arise.
  • Assisting with leave approvals, performance appraisals and other administrative tasks.
  • Supporting in-staff induction, orientation, appraisal and training when required.
  • Assisting with collection, disbursement and record keeping of pocket money matters.
  • Coordinating meetings and compiling reports as required.

Please note that this role requires flexibility in work arrangement as the program is a 24/7 community care service. Our goal is to provide comprehensive care and support to our residents while ensuring the highest standard of professionalism and integrity in all aspects of our work.
