Vessel Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Deputy Fleet Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring vessel compliance with company, SMS, international and local regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture or engineering, with at least 2 years of experience as a Senior Vessel Manager. Experience on bulk carriers is desirable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring vessel performance and providing technical guidance to the crew
- Monitoring and verifying PMS reports
- Preparing operating expenses and budgets
- Arranging for surveys and repairs
- Communicating with vessels for daily operations
- Submitting reports to owners
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be required to carry out vessel inspections and follow up on audit reports.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Degree in Naval Architecture / Engineering / Chief Engineering license
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Senior Vessel Manager
- Experience on Bulk Carriers (Supramax & Handy size) is desirable
- You should be professionally sound, highly motivated and a good team player
