Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint professional to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology Shared Services (ITSS) team, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance-related activities for SharePoint.

You will provide technical support for SharePoint Online users, addressing incidents, Change Requests (CRs), and Service Requests (SRs), along with periodic status updates.

Key responsibilities include managing the existing SharePoint farm and all third-party tools and software deployed, conducting periodic environment health assessments, and addressing questions or concerns from business owners or directors regarding the SharePoint platform.

You will configure new SharePoint sites and manage access control, deploy custom features, develop SharePoint applications, and customize sites.

Additional tasks include performing migration of sites and content using ShareGate, maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all SharePoint-related patches, service packs, and server configurations, and supporting monthly rollout of Windows security patches to SharePoint servers.

As a skilled SharePoint administrator, you will ensure system compliance with relevant IT security policies, standards, and audit requirements, complete assigned tasks within designated timelines, and collaborate with internal teams to devise optimal ways to align SharePoint functionality with business goals.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, preferably with certification in SharePoint System Administration and/or SharePoint Development.

Candidates should have at least one year of working experience in a Government, Research, or Educational institution with both SOE and non-SOE environments.

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a SharePoint Developer and at least 10 years of combined experience as a SharePoint Administrator and Developer is required.

Strong understanding and hands-on experience with SharePoint services, farm topology, branding, design, and development platforms are essential.

Demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint functionality and customization capabilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web browsers, Windows and SQL Servers, and Microsoft Azure are also necessary.

Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate and Power Apps) for building workflows and forms in SharePoint and Teams, adherence to best practices in site provisioning, governance, user adoption, and Microsoft 365 security are valuable assets.

Certifications such as MS-900, MS-102, PL-100, or SC-300 are an added advantage.

Additional skills in ServiceNow development tools, including Service Portal, Service Catalog, Workflow, App Engine, low-code development, and scripting are considered valuable but not mandatory.
