Maintenance Technician Job Description

Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of various industrial cleaning equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This role involves a range of tasks from servicing and inspecting equipment to troubleshooting machinery breakdowns and conducting routine maintenance checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain industrial cleaning equipment, including high-pressure jet, leaf blower, scrubbing machine, vacuum cleaner, and battery-operated cart.
  • Inspect and assess the functionality of equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot machinery breakdowns, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and submit maintenance reports, providing detailed information on work completed and any issues encountered.
  • Liaise with external vendors for necessary equipment repair, negotiating quotes and arranging logistics as needed.
  • Inspect and monitor quality standards of equipment and tools, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
  • Perform asset tagging to ensure accountability of equipment, maintaining accurate records of ownership and usage.

Requirements:

  • Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, with relevant knowledge in electrical and mechanical fields.
  • Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • BASIC computer and report writing skills.
  • Good time management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Hands-On Physical work required, involving regular lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Driving company lorry (manual)
  • Working hours: 8am to 8pm (Monday to Saturday)
