The Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless vessel operations and compliance with contractual terms.
- To read and interpret contract terms, guaranteeing voyage orders align with contractual obligations.
- Handling post-fixure operational matters for chartered vessels in accordance with contractual guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate vessel schedules and itineraries, preparing for operational events.
- Liaising with agents to facilitate surveys, bunkers, and loading/discharging activities.
- Collaborating with insurance companies, ship management companies, lawyers, and other stakeholders to resolve daily incidents and issues.
- Assisting with administrative and accounting tasks related to vessel operations.
Necessary Qualifications and Experience:
- Familiarity with contracts is an asset.
- No prior experience required, but 1-2 years' experience in dry bulk is advantageous.
- Degree in Maritime Studies or a related field is preferred.
- A self-motivated individual with strong integrity and a proactive attitude.
This role requires the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, both internally and externally. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.
