Senior Care Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to support our therapy team and conduct activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of elderly residents.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with tasks as needed
  • Plan and conduct wellness programs, games, and social events to engage residents
  • Encourage resident participation and provide support and assistance
  • Foster a positive environment that promotes resident satisfaction
  • Conduct administrative duties within the unit
  • Observe residents during treatment and compile data on progress
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with the therapy team and other departments for comprehensive care
Requirements:
  • Ability to work effectively with elderly residents and individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and position residents as needed
  • Flexibility to work weekends as needed
  • Experience in conducting wellness activities or working with the elderly population is an asset
  • Basic computer skills including electronic medical records system navigation and email proficiency
