About the Role

This is an Associate level opportunity in the Global Client Group at Brookfield Asset Management, Inc. with a focus on supporting senior client relationship managers in building new relationships for the company's private funds, specifically with institutional investors in South Asia and Taiwan.

The Associate will work across various asset classes, including real estate, infrastructure, renewables, and private equity, and will be involved in all aspects of the fundraising process, from direct client communications to research and due diligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support client activities, including prospect due diligence and onboarding processes
  • Coordinate and attend update meetings with investment teams, preparing pre-meeting reports and materials, recording meeting notes, and coordinating follow-up
  • Cover on-site due diligence meetings with investment teams, preparing pre-meeting reports and materials, recording meeting notes, and coordinating follow-up
  • Communicate directly with clients to support their due diligence requests
  • Maintain Brookfield's internal CRM system, ensuring it is up to date for internal reporting purposes
  • Assist with ad-hoc business development activities
  • Conduct industry research and client-specific research
  • Complete profiles on prospects as needed
  • Perform detailed research and analysis, leveraging market data and other sources, to create targeted lists of prospective investors for new funds and strategies
  • Monitor industry press for information relating to prospects and competitors
  • Coordinate road shows, conferences, and investor meetings with the Communications and Project Management Teams
  • Assist with conference/meeting planning, setup, preparation, and coordination with stakeholders
  • Facilitate broad investor communication initiatives

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business management, or a relevant discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of property, infrastructure, private equity, or alternative asset funds
  • Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), with experience in Salesforce a plus
  • Team player with a positive attitude and proactive approach to work
  • Able to develop a strong internal and external network and build relationships with professionals within and beyond the organization
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to get involved in more challenging projects
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including preparation and delivery of presentations
  • Self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail
  • Second language fluency in Mandarin is ideal, but not essential
