The Department Head plays a pivotal role in spearheading the operations of the speech and language pathology department. This high-level position demands exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of clinical innovation, evidence-based practice, and patient care excellence.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage departmental resources, risks, and compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Lead change management initiatives at an organizational and sector level by implementing new or revised policies.
- Ensure sufficient manpower for clinical services and manage department budgets effectively.
- Develop and implement business continuity plans and health and safety policies.
- Contribute to cluster-wide and/or national level initiatives.
- Monitor compliance to clinical protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the therapy department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology/Therapy recognized under Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.
- Full registration under AHPC.
- At least 10 years of experience in a leadership position with general management experience.
- Experience in a Social Service Agency (SSA) is an added advantage.
