Job Title: Environmental Safety Specialist

Our organization is committed to ensuring the well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment. As an Environmental Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining our commitment by conducting regular site visits to monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

This includes conducting audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implementing corrective actions to prevent accidents. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing effective management systems to ensure our organization remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with HSE standards;
  • Develop and implement a Management of Change program to assess and mitigate risks associated with changes to work processes or procedures;
  • Manage the incident investigation process to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence;
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure they adhere to company HSE policies and procedures;
  • Review and update safety procedures and protocols to ensure they are current and effective;
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and engagement among employees through training and communication programs;
  • Participate in development and implementation of business strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives;
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE into business operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations;
  • Certification in HSE management (e.g. OHSA, IOSH);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
