Job Title: Site Acquisition Manager

Overview

The successful candidate will lead the acquisition and development of sites for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in the Asia Pacific region. This involves identifying suitable sites, overseeing the land acquisition process, and collaborating with stakeholders to advance projects from development to construction-ready status.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sites Acquisition and Development: Identify, acquire, and secure suitable sites for BESS projects across multiple markets, including Japan, Australia, and Korea.
  • Land Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive land acquisition strategy, including sourcing, permitting, and site evaluation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including land contractors, brokers, developers, and government agencies, to advance projects and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Budget Management: Manage land acquisition budgets and develop detailed schedules for project milestones and key deliverables.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on land-related documentation and negotiate framework agreements with landowners and brokers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 Years Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in the energy domain, preferably in Asian markets, with a focus on land identification and complex permit processes.
  • Energy Infrastructure Projects: Experience working with energy infrastructure projects, particularly those involving BESS technologies.
  • Negotiation and Relationship Management: Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities, with a proven track record of building effective relationships with government agencies, landowners, and other stakeholders.
  • Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented with excellent documentation management skills, ensuring accurate and timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
