About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Library Manager to join our team in Singapore office. Our office is located conveniently in the Central Business District and easily accessible by public transportation.
This individual will be responsible for managing both physical and digital material resource libraries, acting as a key contact point both internally with teams and externally with suppliers regarding material and product information.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with all suppliers in obtaining technical data/pricing information, new product information and samples
Arrange supplier presentations to the studio
Field material sample requests on behalf of design teams
Update the physical and digital library with new samples and information
Material Control Board preparation
Presentation material board preparation
Track limited materials with designers (guardian of materials)
General filing/organization of physical library; ensure library associated supplies and equipment are maintained, samples are clean/tidy and updated, utilizing junior design/intern staff as support in a coordinated manner.
Special Projects:
Establish and develop HBA's new Digital Resource Library, working in tandem with the Digital Director and team.
Educate design teams in using the Digital Resource Library.
Mentor/junior designers/interns on materials and resources.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Singapore PR holder/Singaporean
- 2+ years of experience in interior design, furniture, art, construction, architecture or related field
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication/social skills
- Excellent organization & time management skills
- Computer skills; familiarity in working with digital media and apps
- Basic knowledge of interior materials and resources
- Physically able to handle heavy architectural materials
