
Plastic Technology Development Lead

Responsibilities include leadership of polymeric technology development, execution of commercialisation from proof-of-concept to industrial roll-out, creation and maintenance of a library of markers/codes for polymeric applications, formulating and optimising markers/codes for polymeric applications to meet performance, cost, and regulatory targets, studying and understanding material characteristics & processing methods across relevant industries and chemistry fields, developing quick POCs to showcase solutions for concept demonstrations and client validation, replicating and scaling the Plastic Circularity Project in different regions, establishing and managing the full supply chain of markers, raw materials, and solution providers to support global deployment of client's plastic solutions, creating and developing integrated project plans (scope, timeline, resources, cost, and risk) for all assigned projects, preparing all internal and external documentation, including technical reports, operational manuals, and funding proposals, preparing and delivering demonstrations of client's technology on demand to stakeholders and potential clients, training, mentoring, and supervising subordinates, monitoring progress against defined work plans and KPIs.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience leading cross-functional project teams in a complex, international and multicultural environment.
- Experience in material application as an engineer/researcher with the appropriate background to manage R&D and pilot projects.
- Experience in commercialising and/or new solutions or tech applications.
- Experience operating a P&L unit &/or was responsible for a P&L unit.
- Industrial experience in manufacturing &/or supply chain.
- Knowledge in chemistry, material science as well as manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Health, Environmental and Safety Regulations.
- Highly competent in writing technical reports, management reports, reports to clients and proposals for pilot projects and tech commercialisation.
- PhD in Plastics/Engineering or related sciences discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Or Masters degree with 11 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with 14 years of relevant experience.
