**Job Summary**:
We are hiring a Research Project Manager with a 3-10 years’ experience in flexible plastic packaging, preferred with good knowledge of polymer chemistry and physics, and plastic film manufacturing process such as biaxial stretching, casting, R2R coating and vacuum metallization. He or she is expected to lead the R&D team in Singapore to analyze, develop and evaluate raw materials, technologies, and products, aiming towards pilot scale up and ensure manufacturing at plant environment in timely organized phases. His work also includes coordination with R&D, production and sales team in Indonesia headquarter, and collaboration with reputable university and institutional research collaborators.

**Job Role Descriptions**:

- Prepare and ensure alignment of key milestones of project progress with proposals
- Lead and provide guidance to R&D team in Singapore. Determine the focus and strategy of their research activity
- Coordinate with R&D and production team in Indonesia headquarter, ensure effective technology transfer to production and commercialization
- To deliver the agreed relevant customer innovation as assigned
- Drive and lead research partnerships with universities, academic institutions, organisations or other related agencies
- Manage R&D laboratory daily activity, ensure safe, tidy, and effective working condition and environment
- Analysis and development and of current commercial plastic film product by lab testing to guide production optimization
- Exploration and review of new industrial high barrier coating technology using commercially available material and ingredient
- Conduct lab sample preparation and evaluation to recycle industrial/consumer plastic waste and utilize recycled product
- Maintains awareness of technical developments in the field of high barrier flexible packaging film product/process improvements
- Liaise technically with material supplier, customer, and related stakeholder
- Prepare technical presentations and reports, technology and product portfolio, intellectual property, patents and project proposal
- Regularly discussion and report to R&D general Manager on projects progresses, notifies any delay on timelines
- Able and willing to travel overseas
- Other duties as assigned

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Ph.D. holder or with equivalent working experience
- Preferably having 3-10 years’ R&D experience in flexible packaging industry (though shorter experience may be considered)
- Good knowledge and understanding of industrial film production process, such as biaxial stretching, coating, vacuum vapor metallization, casting and extrusion
- Awareness of plastic waste problem and familiar to typical recycling and processing technology
- Proactive and cohesive team player, also able to work independently, can manage multiple projects effectively
- Good communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
