The job of a Program Manager in Renal Health requires effective leadership skills and experience in managing projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of Project Renalssance, which aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of early introduction of palliative care options for patients with irreversible kidney disease.

You will develop and drive the implementation of Kidney Supportive Care clinics for multidisciplinary management of advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. Your responsibilities will include developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, and case management tools.

  • Developing SOPs, protocols, and case management tools
  • Mentoring Case Management officers on project management and staff performance management
  • Precepting newly joined renal coordinators in delivery of specialty care
  • Monitoring and evaluating staff performance with due follow-up on recommendations for improvement
  • Assuring educational opportunities are made available for staff to develop professionally and contribute to the growth and development of the division
  • Working alongside CMO to assist with overall coordination of appointments to Kidney Supportive Care Clinic and referral to community partners
  • Applying understanding of prevention of medico-legal issues in relation to patient care
  • Participating in quality improvement activities
  • Taking on additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the Head of Division
Required Skills and Qualifications:

In order to succeed in this role, you will require the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Nursing, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or General Science
  • Certificate/Diploma in Renal Nursing will be advantageous
  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of clinical experience
  • At least 5 years prior working experience in a healthcare environment and have assumed some managerial duties before
  • Knowledge of clinical skills and critical thinking in delivery of patients' care will be advantageous
  • Able to resolve problems in all aspects of the implementation of the Project Renalssance including operational issues, IT issues, clinical related issues etc.
  • Able to lead a team of Coordinators in the implementation of the programme to deliver key performance indicators, motivate staff and ensure knowledge retention and succession if necessary
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literacy skills – MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Effectively bilingual
