Scissor Lift Maintenance Technician: A Critical Role in Ensuring Workplace Safety

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Scissor Lift Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with aerial work platforms and heavy machinery, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations.

About the Job:

This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining scissor lifts (electric and hydraulic models) to ensure they are safe and in good working order. You will perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks, as well as troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair scissor lifts to prevent equipment failure and ensure workplace safety.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to maintain optimal performance and extend the lifespan of our equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues with scissor lifts, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports to track maintenance activities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment for ourselves and our customers.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to resolve any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical/electrical repair, preferably with scissor lifts or similar equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and schematics to diagnose and repair complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with OEM diagnostic tools to optimize maintenance activities and reduce downtime.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record to transport equipment and personnel safely.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment to meet the demands of this role.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
