Job Title: Data Center Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to join our team. As a Data Center Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center equipment and systems.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in data center operations, including power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and network infrastructure.
  • You will work closely with other teams to ensure that all data center equipment is properly installed, configured, and maintained.
About this role:
  • This is a full-time position working 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon shifts available.
  • The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  1. Perform periodic walk-throughs to validate equipment status and check for any issues.
  2. Review work order requests and respond to semi-routine work orders in a timely manner.
  3. Escalate and expedite orders to appropriate teams as needed.
  4. Rack and stack customer equipment tickets.
  5. Support standard operating procedures for layer 1 cross-connect certification testing.
Requirements:
  • A diploma or degree in IT/Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of IT experience or equivalent.
  • Prior working experience in a data center, network, or server environment is an added advantage.
  • Must be comfortable with shift rotation.
