About Our Faculty Role

We are seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to join our faculty and contribute to the academic excellence of our Visual Arts and Cultures program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach courses in art history, visual culture, and related fields at various levels.
  • Conduct research and publish scholarly work in leading journals and university presses.
  • Foster interdisciplinary connections within the arts and humanities.

Qualifications and Skills:

We seek applicants with a PhD or equivalent qualification in the visual arts, visual culture, or a cognate field. Strong publication records, teaching excellence, and experience across different course levels are highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in history and theory of modern or contemporary art, architecture, design, or visual/material culture.
  • Visual studies (including visual anthropology), literary and cultural studies, cultural theory and criticism, exhibition studies, and curatorial studies.
  • Practice-based or creative methodologies that intersect with scholarly inquiry in those fields.
