Job Title: Production Operations Specialist

About the Role

The Production Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes. This involves working with engineers to develop, execute and track the testing and problem resolution of new and existing components, parts, products or processes/systems.

  • Perform technical support duties in one or more manufacturing areas, which may involve working with and assisting engineers.
  • Select, install, maintain, repair and support manufacturing equipment; provide technical support of production/fabrication processes, product testing and troubleshooting.
  • Carry out and/or assist in the development, improvement and optimization of standards, processes and procedures in the manufacturing environment.
  • Assist in qualifying sources of raw materials, chemicals and other ingredients used in the manufacturing process.
  • Use layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals and rough sketches or drawings to set up, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment and perform maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and maintain applicable documentation.
  • Design and/or build tools as needed.
Requirements

This position requires some higher education or specialized training/certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically 1-3 years of relevant experience for entry to this level.
