Job Title: Audio System Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to join our team. This critical role is responsible for delivering exceptional audio experiences at various events and productions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio systems for events, installations, and productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audio Equipment Installation and Operation: Install and configure audio equipment, including speakers, microphones, mixers, and amplifiers.
  • Sound System Management: Operate sound systems during events, rehearsals, or live productions, ensuring optimal audio quality and balance.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance
  • Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with audio equipment promptly.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment, and repair or replace faulty audio components as needed.
Audio Design and Configuration
  • Audio Design Collaboration: Collaborate with event producers or directors to create audio designs that meet client needs.
  • Sound Leveling and Configuration: Adjust sound levels, equalization, and effects for clarity and consistency, configuring multi-channel audio setups for complex events or productions.
Industry Standards and Compliance
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards during installation and operation of equipment, ensuring all audio setups comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Hazard Mitigation: Address and mitigate potential hazards related to sound operations.
Collaboration and Support
  • Teamwork: Work closely with other technical teams (lighting, video, staging) to ensure seamless integration.
  • Event Support: Assist with setting up and dismantling AV equipment for events, providing on-site support during rehearsals and live performances.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of audio setups, configurations, and inventory.
  • Equipment Reporting: Report on equipment usage, repairs, and replacement needs to management.
  • Operational Feedback: Provide feedback for improving audio operations and setups.
