Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Changi Airport. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, and peeling ingredients, according to recipes and chef instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including cooking stations, equipment, and utensils.
  • Handle dishwashing duties, including cleaning dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and supplies.
  • Dispose of waste properly and maintain hygiene and safety standards.
  • Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries.
  • Perform simple cooking tasks under supervision if needed.
  • Ensure food safety standards at all times.


Requirements:
  • Prior similar work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to follow and understand instructions.
  • Good personality and time management.
  • Ability to carry heavy objects (up to 10kg).


Working Conditions:
  • Work location: Jewel Changi Airport.
  • Working hours: 5 days a week (44 hours/week, depending on roster).
  • Off-in-lieu for work on public holidays.
  • Variable allowances.
  • AWS.
