About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Changi Airport. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting chefs and kitchen personnel with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and performing other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, peeling ingredients, and following recipes and chef instructions
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including cooking stations, equipment, and utensils, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety
- Handle dishwashing duties, including cleaning dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment, ensuring proper sanitation and storage procedures
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory management
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain overall cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries, verifying quantities and quality of received goods
- Perform simple cooking tasks under supervision if needed, following established recipes and guidelines
- Ensure food safety standards at all times, adhering to regulations and company policies
- Support overall kitchen operations during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, with a strong understanding of kitchen procedures and protocols
- The ability to follow and understand instructions, taking initiative when necessary
- Good personality and time management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to carry heavy items (up to 10kg) safely and efficiently
- Willingness to work at Changi Airport, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and requirements

What We Offer:
- Work location: Jewel Changi Airport
- Working hours: 5 Days/week (44 hours/week, depending on roster)
- Restaurant operation hours: 9am - 10pm
- Off-in-lieu if working on public holidays
- Variable allowances
- AWS
