About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to take on a supporting leadership role for one of the fastest-growing PR agencies in the Asia region. MSL represents some of the best category-defining companies in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and account team members.
  • Build and/or maintain client relationships at the highest standard of professionalism.
  • Must be pro-actively involved in current client activities; able to identify opportunities to organically grow business with current accounts; and able to identify potential risks and take appropriate action to retain or renew business.
  • Help clients demonstrate the value of PR within their own organizations.
  • Develop results-oriented strategic plans and lead ideation efforts to expand programs, resulting in maximum client satisfaction as well as in increasing agency revenues.
  • Mentor junior team members in the areas of strategic planning, editorial content development, ideation of content and media relations.
  • Prepare and manage client campaign budgets to keep costs within client's budget within agreed deliverables while ensuring that target agency revenues are met and that non-billable expenses are kept minimal.
  • Cultivate and/or build new relationships with clients in order to grow new business efforts.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in communications in an agency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, preferably a strong writer.
  • Able to produce first-rate communications and editorial content for multi-platform media including traditional mainstream and digital.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects with minimum or no supervision.
  • Strong client relations, strategic thinking and new business development skills; able to think outside the box.
  • Can work independently and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience in local Singapore and regional strategic planning a big plus.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to support professional growth and career development opportunities for junior team members.
