Fragrance Development - Job Overview

About this role: As a Perfumer, you will be responsible for analyzing and deconstructing complex fragrances from various market products. Your expertise in advanced analytical techniques, such as Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) and Flame Ionization Detector (FID), will enable you to reverse-engineer and reconstitute complete fragrance formulas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and deconstruct complex fragrances to identify key components.
  • Employ advanced analytical techniques to reverse-engineer and reconstitute fragrance formulas.
  • Lead analytical projects and provide critical insights to guide creative teams.
  • Maintain state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and serve as an expert on fragrance raw materials.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fragrance Analyst or Analytical Chemist in the fragrance industry.
  • Proficiency in GC/MS, FID, and related data analysis software.
  • Proven success in fragrance reverse-engineering and formula reconstitution.
  • Deep knowledge of synthetic and natural perfumery raw materials.
