Health Safety and Environmental Project Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Professional to lead our project team in implementing HSE procedures, guidelines, and policies. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of annual HSE objectives and performance targets.
  • Maintain HSE legal compliance and ensure implementation of national laws, regulations, international conventions, and protocols within the project.
  • Represent the project team in HSE matters with corporate and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 15 years' experience in HSE functions, with exposure to EPC for major oil & gas projects.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar senior position in projects for reputable oil & gas operators in an offshore project environment.

Skillset:

You should have excellent skills in HSE studies, environmental assessments, and project HSE risk registers. Experience in accident/incident investigation, review, and learning from HSE incidents is essential. Additionally, you should have strong leadership skills to motivate and organize HSE teams to achieve high-performance levels.

Desirable Skills:

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Staffing Services, EPC, Investigation, Root Cause Analysis, Climate Change, Administration, Auditor, Project Management, Audits, Construction Drawings, Commissioning, Safety Engineering.
