Insurance Pricing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Pricing Specialist to drive business growth by leading pricing strategies for group insurance policies and product development.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Pricing and Risk Assessment (60%): Determine optimal pricing to minimize risks, maximize profits, and retention. Regularly review portfolio profitability against best estimate assumptions.
  • Product Development and Experience Analysis (15%): Develop new products and enhance existing ones in line with industry standards. Refresh pricing assumptions, tools, and conduct regular experience analysis.
  • Reinsurance Management and Administration (15%): Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports for reinsurance and pool administration. Assist in reviewing, negotiating, and analyzing reinsurance treaties.
  • Other Responsibilities (10%): Perform other duties periodically assigned to meet strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics & Statistics.
  • At least 2-7 years of actuarial experience in Group Insurance/Employer Benefits/Health Insurance with a direct insurer or reinsurer.
  • Professional actuarial qualification from a recognized international body with good progress towards qualification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities within tight timelines.
