**Position Overview**:
Zurich Insurance Singapore is seeking a highly motivated and talented lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. You will play a crucial role in providing legal support and advice in various aspects of the business with a focus on commercial insurance law. This is a broad-based role that would be ideal for a corporate lawyer looking to transition in-house from private practice.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Research and Analysis**:

- Support our complex cross-border commercial insurance business by reviewing laws and regulations applicable in Singapore and other relevant jurisdictions.
- Analyze legal issues and provide accurate and timely advice on commercial insurance matters to internal stakeholders, including underwriters and claims professionals.

**Contract Review and Drafting**:

- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial insurance contracts, including policy wordings, endorsements, and other related legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while drafting and reviewing commercial insurance contracts.

**Compliance and Regulatory Support**:

- Stay updated on changes in commercial insurance laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and provide guidance on legal and regulatory matters affecting commercial insurance operations.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to develop and implement compliance programs and policies.

**Corporate Transactions**:

- Support the business on strategic projects by identifying legal risks and opportunities and developing innovative solutions that support business objectives.
- Participate in project steering committees/working groups for project.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent).
- Qualified lawyer.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office Suite.
