Job Summary

This role involves leading the front-to-end execution of fund finance transactions in Asia Pacific, conducting due diligence and managing approval processes. The successful candidate will lead team members on loan documentation preparation and assist with post-closing matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Senior member of the team in fund finance transaction execution, including sub-ion finance and NAV finance
  • Conduct due diligence and manage credit applications, financial models, and closing processes
  • Lead the team on loan documentation preparation, RFP proposals, term sheets, and other documentation
  • Support portfolio teams with ad hoc post-closing matters
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and industry developments
  • Lead team members on pitch book preparation and marketing activities
Product Innovation & Development
  • Lead fund finance product development, including identifying addressable markets, feasibility analysis, SMBC-tailored product scoping, and resources hiring
  • Originate, structure, and execute fund financing for financial sponsors in Asia Pacific, working alongside existing product members to drive incremental pipeline growth
Fund Financing Strategy and Cross-selling
  • Improve fund finance strategy and risk framework through collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities to increase deal-based revenue contribution
