The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore is seeking a Research Fellow to join our team. As a Research Fellow, you will be working on a project focused on Magnetism and Spintronics Devices in the laboratory of Prof Lew Wen Siang.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • You will conduct research on magnetic materials and spin transport phenomena in spintronics devices.
  • You will deposit thin films structures using physical vapour deposition (PVD) and fabricate semiconductor devices using advanced lithography techniques.
  • You will perform device process using reactive ion etching, and/or ion milling techniques and carry out electrical and magneto-optical characterisations and results analysis.
  • You will undertake ad-hoc matters relevant to the research project.
What We Offer:
  • A PhD degree in physics or electrical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles or technical expertise in specific scopes.
  • Proficiency in semiconductor processing techniques.
  • Excellent programming skills, with some background in device modelling a plus.
  • Strong soft skills, including information visualization and interaction design.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
