
Programme Coordinator for Empowerment

MINDS is a charity that has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and their families since 1962. We are committed to empowering them and enhancing their quality of life, while advocating for greater inclusivity for PWIDs as a nation.
As a Temporary Programme Coordinator, you will be working in one of the largest charities in Singapore employing over 850 staff. Our key focus is to expand community-based services, improving the employability of PWIDs, strengthening education, and engendering inclusive community living.
We offer a holistic range of services and programmes across the PWIDs' lifespan. These include schools, employment and training development centres, home-based care services, and community-based services to cater to the physical, psychological, environmental, and social needs of PWIDs.
The role involves managing programmes, assisting in day-to-day administration, ensuring service calls are attended to, conducting needs assessments, maintaining updated records, managing manpower resources, guiding volunteers, coordinating recruitment and selection activities, matching volunteers to appropriate programmes, facilitating volunteer participation, maintaining volunteer databases, and conducting outreach activities.
To be successful in this role, you should have a Diploma or Degree with 1-2 years of working experience, preferably in the Social Service sector or programme management. You should also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be empathetic and interested in understanding and serving PWIDs and their caregivers, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

- Manage programmes based on client needs
- Assist in the day-to-day administration of the Appropriate Adult Command Centre
- Ensure service calls are attended to 100% of the time
- Conduct needs assessment to support development of programmes
- Maintain updated records on service calls and clients
- Manage Manpower Resources
- Plan and deploy manpower to support programmes
- Guide volunteers in executing programme activities
- Manage Volunteer Resources
- Coordinate recruitment and selection activities for volunteers
- Match volunteers to appropriate programmes and clients based on programme requirements and volunteer interests and expertise
- Facilitate volunteer participation in training programmes
- Maintain volunteer database and training records
- Facilitate Volunteer Partnerships
- Conduct needs analysis for volunteer programmes
- Support risk assessments of volunteer participation
- Develop requirements for volunteer profiles
- Implement risk management measures for volunteers in collaboration with the programme team
- Manage Volunteer Policies and Processes
- Support development of volunteer management policies and processes
- Monitor compliance to volunteer policies and processes in programmes
