Senior Enterprise Business Reporter

As a Business Journalist, you will be responsible for generating enterprise business stories and delivering them on TV and digital platforms. You will be the lead India television reporter/anchor, developing and producing key business stories and fronting their delivery for all platforms.
Your primary focus will be on the Indian economy, markets, and business landscape. You must have proven experience in reporting on these topics and be able to develop a strong network of sources to generate proprietary stories unique to CNBC.
You will work closely with each member of the production team (TV, Digital, and Social), news editors, other anchors, reporters, and correspondents, as well as operations staff. You will contribute to show planning, production, and execution, stepping in as needed. Additionally, you will work with the company's marketing department to promote CNBC.
This role requires flexibility to work different shifts and over some weekends to cover breaking news, events, and other business needs. You may also need to travel overseas for reporting, often on short notice.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in business and/or financial news writing and reporting live, breaking news
- Experience in presenting and adapting stories across multiple platforms
- In-depth knowledge of business news, financial markets, and global current affairs
- Ability to handle deadline pressure and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
In addition to these requirements, candidates with experience or proficiency in certain areas are desirable. These include a minimum 5 years of experience working in a similar role, familiarity with using key newsroom systems and applications, and a background in working for a leading wire service or business news organization.
