Job Overview

This strategic procurement role is critical in driving business growth and profitability by developing and implementing effective airfreight procurement strategies.

  • Develop long-term network plans to align with market conditions and business requirements.
  • Optimize productivity and service quality through review of network assets and infrastructure.
  • Manage capacity planning and coordination with regional airfreight or trade-lane management teams.
  • Improve profitability and optimize co-loader markets.
  • Define the procurement strategy and subcontractor portfolio for the organization, ensuring successful execution.
  • Establish and maintain a robust procurement planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrier selection and contracting.
  • Negotiate core subcontractor agreements.
  • Develop contract standards.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for specific SLAs with carriers.
  • Provide support to country product teams for cargo steering according to contractual incentives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Logistics.
  • 5-10 years of experience in logistics procurement, preferably international.
  • Proven skills in developing and executing procurement strategies.
