Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Expert to join our team in the capacity of Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in AML matters, including day-to-day issues, checks, and approvals. This role also involves supervising assigned offices and ensuring compliance with local regulations and head office policies.

  • Assist in reviewing and keeping departmental procedures and guides up to date
  • Monitor and supervise the AML framework of assigned offices, working closely with Area Money Laundering Officers (AMLOs) to understand local laws, policies, and practices
  • Keep up to date with international developments in AML and changes to head office policies
  • Recommend and monitor changes to office policies and provide advice to AMLOs on AML matters
  • Review AML Procedure Manuals for assigned offices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • 2-5 years' relevant experience in banking or financial institutions, preferably with sanctions experience
  • Meticulous with a strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Able to work under tight timelines
  • Team player willing to be hands-on
