Job Title: Finishing Editor

  • We are seeking an experienced Finishing Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality finishing projects.
  • The Finishing Editor will be responsible for conforming picture and sound elements, ensuring precise timing and alignment with approved offline edits.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to edit dialogue to ensure clear communication, reframe content for different aspect ratios and platforms, and perform final picture and sound quality control.
  • They will also be required to containerize multi-channel stems for delivery and verify EDL/XML file references, timecodes, track order, and filenames for content localization.

  • Desirable skills and qualifications include colour correction and grading, mentoring assistant editors, sound mixing and mastering, familiarity with IMF & DCP, and experience with OMF and AAF interchange formats for sound post-production workflows.
  • Requirements for the position include 3-7 years of conform and finishing experience, excellent communication skills in English, a deep understanding of video and sound encoding, broadcast and cinema delivery formats, highly organized project bins, timeline layers, tracks, and file management.
  • A portfolio is required for consideration, demonstrating the candidate's ability to deliver high-quality finishing projects.
