Global Brand Development Manager
Location: Singapore

Overview

This role entails working on one of the world's most iconic brands. The brand is a leading facecare brand with a strong footprint and market position in many developing and emerging markets. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Global Assistant Brand Development Manager (ABM) to support the innovation platform to unlock new business growth models. This is a global role that is based in Singapore.

Main Accountabilities
  • Reporting to the Brand Manager, this role will play a crucial role in crafting key big bets of disruptive innovation to unlock new business models for emerging markets – including concept & claims, product & packaging development and communications, ensuring relevance of the mixes.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams – including R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, CMI, regulatory / claims.
  • Partnering with key markets globally to align projects in the 12Q Plan and drive the brand overall growth ambition.

As an ABM in the global team, you'll play a critical supporting role to the Brand Manager, ensuring the project is aligned with the brand strategy plan and targeting excellent delivery on time in full. You'll develop an in-depth understanding of brand development and the business environment within Beauty & Wellbeing. The role offers plenty of scope for independent leadership and clear ownable deliverables.

  • Project Team: Cross-functional team such as R&D, CMI, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement
  • Agencies and local marketing teams in each country
  • Key senior stakeholders across the organization
Qualifications/Relevant Experience Required

To succeed in this role, it will require:

  • Innate, genuine passion for beauty, with a keen eye for beauty.
  • Trend awareness: staying abreast of cultures and emerging trends, platforms, and best practices within the beauty industry.
  • Passion for consumers, putting them at the heart of all strategy and execution.
  • Strong brand development skills (i.e. brand positioning/equity, concept development, project leadership, communication development, eye for beauty).
  • Global brand/mix development with experience interfacing with countries and driving execution.
  • Strong bias for action with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving, can-do mindset, being bold in thoughts and brave in action.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Skincare/Beauty is an added advantage.
  • Experience in new communication & business models i.e. Social first, E-commerce (Cross-border) & D2C.
