Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Description:As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring goods and services that meet our production needs at the most favorable price, quality, and delivery. Your expertise in supply chain management will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production system.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate all requisitions to minimize excess and obsolete inventory, while maintaining a keen eye on engineering change implementations.
- Maintain and update databases of available suppliers and prices information to ensure data accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure purchasing documentation is up-to-date and compliant with ISO requirements, GPP, and other relevant regulations.
- Monitor supply chain issues affecting production lines, including materials shortages, and work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve these issues.
- Liaise between suppliers and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Respond to ad-hoc demand requirements from customers when their units are in the works-in-progress stage.
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Marine Engineering or related field, with 3 years of relevant experience; or diploma in the same fields with 5 years of experience.
- Professional purchasing management certificate is preferred.
- Knowledge of MRP/SAP systems is essential.
