Sales Meat Specialist

As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that all meat products meet quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cut and prepare meats to customers' orders
  • Roast meat, prepare hot deli, bento set, weigh, package and price the meat
  • Maintain safe and clean working areas by cleaning surfaces, equipment, food trays, floors and removing rubbish
  • Display high-quality meat products and delicatessens for consumers' selection
  • Assist customers with their meat selections, make recommendations and provide advice on various cuts and cooking methods to increase sales
  • Monitor inventory levels of meat products and replenish them promptly

Requirements:
  • A recognised qualification in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience as a meat cutter or butcher
  • Proficient in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of meat cuts
  • Good knife skills and familiar with meat cutting tools and equipment
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
