Job Title: Meat Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented meat specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and packing high-quality cuts of meats according to customer specifications, using company standards and adhering to all safety requirements.

The majority of the time will be spent operating processing equipment such as CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, and knives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and packing high-quality cuts of meats according to customer specifications.
  • Operating meat processing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Packing, trimming, and customizing portions of meat products.
  • Counting and stacking portions on trays according to customer and company specifications.
  • Labeling portions with supplied product labels.
  • Setting up packing and labeling areas as required.
  • Performing end-of-day functions.
  • Maintaining merchandise partial carts.
  • Keeping the packing area and cutting room clean and sanitized.

Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit (able to lift cartons 10-20kg).
  • Able to handle meat processing equipment safely.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (-18 °C – 10 °C).
