About the Role:
The Database Administrator is part of a team responsible for managing IT infrastructure platform systems. As a key member of our operations and deployment projects, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of infrastructure systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of Microsoft SQL Server/MySQL/Oracle server software and related products in Windows/Linux environment.
- Evaluate MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle features and related products to ensure optimal database performance.
- Proactive monitoring of database performance, conducting analysis, and implementing proactive improvement measures to maintain high-performance databases.
- Manage database changes through change request processes, providing timely status reports to stakeholders.
- Review and improve database design and implementation for new projects, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
- Implement and maintain robust database security protocols, including creating and maintaining users and roles, assigning privileges, and monitoring access controls.
- Plan for growth and changes, conducting capacity planning to ensure database scalability and performance.
- Respond promptly to incidents, investigating root causes and providing temporary or permanent resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Provide technical support and guidance to development teams, resolving general technical issues and improving overall system reliability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in SQL Server (2012-2017 version) & Oracle 11g, 12c.
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues, including profiling and tracing techniques.
- Familiarity with AlwaysON, clustering, replication, and Oracle RAC, Data Guard technologies.
- Proficient in backups and recovery, indexing, and patching procedures.
- Familiarity with Linux/windows servers, security delegation, SPNs, storage components, and Cloud RDS technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.
